Soccer Season Ends

Boys The boys soccer team has had a rough season. On Friday, Jan. 23, the team lost their match against Trabuco by a score of 1-5. On Jan. 16, the team lost 0-3 once more to Tesoro. Jan. 14th’s game was a 1-3 loss against Beckman, Jan. 12th was a loss against Capo Valley, and Jan. 6th’s was a close game against Trabuco that ultimately a loss 2-3. The Dec. 8 game against University was also a loss 1-2, but the Dolphins clutched a win 2-0 against Fullerton on December 5. December 4 was a 0-4 loss against Northwood, December 1 was a 0-3 loss against Aliso Niguel. The Dolphins won 1-0 against Warren, and smoked Laguna Beach 6-2 on Nov. 21. Their first match was a win against Woodbridge, 4-2 on Nov. 17. When asked about the season, Senior Charlie Chiaverini said that “[our] teamwork was really good. We have a diverse group of guys, but we all work well together.” Senior Kaden Lowe also noted that, “Our record really doesn’t show how well we played. I’m so proud of all the boys and how we found a way to make something beautiful happen.” Coach Gunderson said that his favorite part of this season was “how the team came together and fought hard for each other.” Girls Recently, the Girl’s soccer season came to an end with the last day of league on February 3. The team went against the Beckman patriots with 2-5. Previously, San Juan won against the dolphins on the 29th of Jan. During the Tesoro game, the Dolphins lost 9-1 on Jan. 27. On Jan. 20, the dolphins went against the diablos with a loss, 5-1. The Dolphins gained another loss against Beckman on Jan. 17 with 4-0. San Juan Hills scored 2-0 on 1/15 leading the Dolphins to another loss after the long season. On the 13th of Jan., the Titans won against the Dolphins at Tesoro. The Diablos versed Dana on the 6th of Jan. Unfortunately, the dolphins lost 2-0, but it was a close match. Dana Hills Dolphins went against the Saints at Xavier Prep. They had a huge win of 3-0.
