Dana Hills’ 2025 Homecoming ended with a pair of seniors who represent the best of their class: Sydney Freeborn and JJ Arreola. Chosen by their peers, both brought their own blend of personality and authenticity to one of the most to the homecoming game night. For Sydney, being crowned Homecoming Queen was the perfect addition to an already unforgettable senior year: “I hope people remember me as a friendly face and inviting person,” she said. Known for her upbeat energy, Sydney has become a familiar and welcoming presence on campus. “Senior year was already great, and Homecoming really added to that, giving me so many more memories to look back on.” She credits her family and friends for helping her grow into the person she is now: “They’ve been amazing motivators for me both socially and academically,” she said. “This showed me how outgoing and social I’ve become over the four years.” Homecoming King JJ Arreola brought his trademark humor and enthusiasm to the celebration. When looking back on high school, JJ said his favorite moments were “all of the football games with friends. It was so fun to dress in theme and watch our school win many games.” His energy and school pride made him a standout presence at every event, long before Homecoming night. After graduation, JJ plans to attend college in New York, majoring in accounting, a field inspired by his skill and interest in math. Being chosen by his classmates, he said, was a reminder of how far he’s come and the connections he’s built along the way. He hopes to leave behind a message that “Confidence is key, and staying true to yourself matters most.” As they prepare to move on from Dana Hills, Sydney and JJ leave behind a class known for its school spirit and sense of community, both of these two seniors who have each made their mark in their own unique way.
