Girls Golf Putts Away

By Lily Gosney

The girls golf team is currently 0-8 thus far, with two matches coming by way of forfeit. The matches played on September 23 and 16th against Trabuco Hills and El Toro High School were the first league games this season. They both resulted in a forfeit due to the small number of players on the team. When asked for comment, head coach Mike Brooks stated, “we are really looking forward to growing the program.” Junior Youjin Lee comments that they have had “some great individual improvements” and she is “looking forward to [...] the rest of the season.” On Sept. 11 and 9, the dolphins went against Capistrano Valley at an away and home match respectively. On the 11, the score was 336-270 and on the 9, it was 338-226. The San Clemente Tritons came over to Dana on Sept. 4 at El Niguel while on the 3rd we went over to our rivals. At our home game we scored a 337 while they scored a 224 and at our away game we scored a 337 to their 223. On August 25, we lost both matches to the Coronia Del Mar Sea Kings on the 26 with a score of 361-210 and 368-212.
