After a four-year-long, on-and-off hiatus, R&B and Grammy-winning solo artist Steve Lacy released his newest album, titled Oh Yeah?, on July 17, 2026. Following its release, the title track, "Oh Yeah?," appeared in the end credits scene of the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie, leaving fans with an overall surreal feeling. While having a more relaxed vibe compared to his past albums, Lacy manages to satisfy both longtime fans and new listeners. After joining the R&B and soul band The Internet in 2013, Lacy rose to fame in 2022 following the release of "Bad Habit," a hit from his Gemini Rights album. With songs like "Dark Red" and "Sunshine" featuring Fousheé, it is no secret that Lacy has played a major role in shaping modern music. With features from SZA and Erykah Badu, listeners have been creating TikToks with captions such as, "New Steve Lacy album changing lives fr (for real)." The overwhelming fan response surrounding Oh Yeah? further demonstrates Lacy's unique connection with his audience. His ability to express overwhelming feelings through his artwork is what makes his music so easy to connect with, solidifying his place in the music industry. Overall, this album was a great comeback for Lacy.
