Local Cars and Coffee

 By Andy Raz

Cars and Coffee on the Wharf took place on February 28, starting at 7 a.m. and running until around 9 a.m. This car show features a mix of modern super cars, such as a Ferrari 488 Spider seen last Saturday, but mainly classic pieces such as Mercedes 300 SL Roadsters. It is a special event for those who participate and has become embedded in their traditions. At this event, attendees can explore vintage and classic cars that embody a rolling history of craftsmanship and character, primarily from 1975 and older. The location remains near the wharf. Senior photographer Nicholas Nakagawa said, “There were about 15–20 classic cars at the meet. The energy at the car show could be described as very relaxed and uncaustic, unlike the Cars and Coffee at the San Clemente Outlets. It is also easier to talk to people about their cars, as they are open and enthusiastic. The passion of the car owners is better than any other car meet I have attended.”
