On Monday, Nov. 8, Dana Hills welcomed families and community members to its annual Holiday Drive-Through Light Parade, transforming the school parking lot into a festive winter celebration from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Sponsored by ASU and supported by clubs across campus, the event featured 52 student organizations, each decorating a car to match a unique holiday theme. Families slowly drove through the lot, enjoying Christmas music, colorful lights, and creative displays. Large organizations such as NHS, CSF, FCA, Interact, Key Club, Best Buddies, and Red Cross participated alongside smaller passion-based clubs, each group using the event to highlight its purpose while spreading holiday cheer. Clubs handed out candy canes, small trinkets, and hot chocolate, creating a welcoming experience for all. Senior Anita Kartchner, Vice President of the National Honor Society, shared what the event meant to her, saying, “I love how the parade brings people together, and it was amazing to see how many people showed up to support. We got to tell a lot of people about our clubs and spread awareness.” The Holiday Light Parade remains a cherished Dana Hills tradition. ICC President Ava Kosor helped plan the event by mapping parking spots and tracking themes, and she shared some insight: “I think it was very special this year. There was a relocation from the student lot to the staff lot, and I’m proud everything came together in the end.”
