After finishing the season with a 2–11 record, the Dana Hills Girls Golf Team is in the process of rebuilding. The last game of the season was a rematch against the Trabuco Hills Mustangs that ended in a loss with a final score of 358–271, though the team had beaten the Mustangs earlier for their first league win. Prior to the rematch, the Dolphins lost both games in the series against the San Juan Hills Stallions, 321–227 and 337–227. Before facing San Juan, Dana played Mission Viejo High School and lost both games in that series as well, 343–289 and 326–286. With renewed energy and developing talent, the team is looking forward to the upcoming year. This season brought many new faces to the lineup, giving the program a fresh start. As Varsity Co-captain Youjin put it, the season has “been rough cause we (the team) have a lot of new players” but they have “been improving a lot.” Despite the challenges of developing chemistry and learning the pace of competitive play, the girls have embraced the process with enthusiasm. The team’s nonstop improvement over the season was evident in their camaraderie and attitude, with Youjin stating, “We feel good about the season and we’re excited for next year. We think we’ll be way better next year.” The positive outlook of the team highlights the spirit of the program, a group of athletes supporting each other both on and off the course. As the Dolphins look ahead to the next season, their message is one of optimism and opportunity. The team welcomes new players, regardless of experience, to join the program and be a part of the next chapter. The Dana Hills golf team is poised to make a strong comeback and inspire a new generation of Dolphin athletes.
