The Dana Hills Football Season has officially started and we are off to a very strong start. So far we have not lost a single game. The Dana Hills Dolphins continued their victorious streak last week with a matchup against the Tesoro Titans, resulting in another major victory of 47-15. Prior to that, the team secured a dominant 41-7 win over the Woodrow Wilson Bruins. They scored four touchdowns in the first half of the game and added another two more touchdowns in the second. On September 5th, the team delivered their most lopsided victory of the season so far by defeating the Esperanza Aztecs 63-7. Dolphins started the game by putting up 42 points in the first half and adding on 21 more points in the second, all while they were holding the Aztecs to a single touchdown and an extra point. On August 29th, to no one’s surprise, the Dolphins beat the El Modena Vanguards 30-14, scoring three touchdowns in the first half of the game for a whopping 23 points. In the second half the Dana Hills Dolphins added another touchdown. The season began with their closest contest yet, a narrow 10-6 win over the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks. “It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but we got the job done,” said James Leicester about this close game. The Dolphins scored all 10 of their points in the first half of the game, while the Diamondbacks scored their 6 points all in the second half, but were fortunately unable to take the lead. Reflecting on the start of the season, Leicester added, “Hopefully, [the Dolphins can] make a run in CIF.” The Dolphins will face their rivals, the Aliso Niguel Wolverine football team at 7pm today, September 26.
